Description of the project: THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS PROJECT IS THE STUDY OF DYNAMIC POLLUTANTS MOVING IN POROUS MEDIA. A MATHEMATICAL MODEL IN A HELLE-SHAW CELL FOR THE TRANSPORT OF SOME MATERIAL PARTICLES (LIKE PESTICIDES) IN UNDERGROUND IS OBTAINED. IN THIS MODEL AN ACCUMULATION OF SOLID PARTICLES AT THE INTERFACE SUSPENSION-FLUID FLOW IS DEVELOPED AND THIS PHENOMENON CHANGES THE HYDRODYNAMICAL PROPERTIES OF THE SYSTEM. OTHER RESULT OBTAINED IN THIS PROJECT IS A NUMERICAL ALGORITHM FOR THE SOLUTION OF RICHARD'S EQUATION IN UNSATURATED POROUS MEDIA. A NEW LABORATORY FOR MATHEMATICAL MODELLING AND CALCULUS WAS CREATED
