Description of the project: "THE CONSORTUIUM'S PROPOSAL IS DEVELOP A GENERAL, FLEXIBLE, PERFORMANT AND ROBUST DEVICE SIMULATOR CCAPABLE TO HANDLE IN 2D AND 3D ADVANCED HETEROSTRUCTURE SYSTEMS BASED ON SIGE AND III-V COMPUND SEMICONDUCTORS. A SET OF TEST HETEROSTRUCTURES WILL BE DESIGNED, PROCESSED AND CHARACTERIZED AND USED FOR SIMULATOR VALIDATION. THE FINAL GOAL IS AVAILABILLTY OF SIMULATION TOOL TO BE USED IN THE DESIGN OF CMOS CIRCUITS BASED ON SIGE AND III-V COMPOUND SEMICONDUCTORS, AT LOW COST, REPLASING SI BASED CMOS CIRCUITS BEYOND THE YEAR 2000."
