Description of the project: "THE PROJECT WAS TO COLLABORATIVELY EXPLOIT, COMBINE AND SUPPORT MULTIDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH IN THE FIELDS OF HPCN, IMAGE PROCESSING, MULTIMEDIA, AND VISUAL PERCEPTION TO DEVELOP A NEW METHOD AND AN INTEGRATED SYSTEM FOR 3D IMAGE ACQUISITION, PROCESSING, STORAGE AND TRANSMISSION, BASED ON THE DYNAMIC STEREOPSIS APPROACH. 3D MEDICAL IMAGING TECHNIQUES ARE AIMED AT THE FUNCTIONAL AND MORPHOLOGICAL 3D IMAGE FUSION FOR NONINVASIVE MONITORING SYSTEMS. SEQUENCES OF 2D IMAGES CAN BE FUSIONED TO GENERATE A 3D IMAGE THAT CAN HAVE A HIGHER RESOLUTION THAN EACH INDIVIDUAL 2D IMAGE IN THE SEQUENCE."
