Description of the project: "THE RESEARCH TEAM HAS APPROACHED THE POSSIBILITY OF AN EFFICIENT USE OF LEAN MIXTURES IN CURENT DACIA ENGINES IN VIEW OF OBTAINING FUEL CONSUMPTION AND EMISSIONS ABATEMENTS BY USING NONEXPENSIVE RETROFIT SYSTEMS. THE STUDIES WERE CONCENTRATED ON FINDING A FAVORABLE CORRELATION BETWEEN FUEL-AIR RATIO, SPARK TIMING, SPARK DISCHARGE CHARACTERISTICS AND ENGINE SPEED AND LOAD. IT WAS CARRIED OUT: THE STUDY OF THE INITIAL COMBUSTION PHASE, THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE IGNITION SYSTEM AND THE EXTENSION OF THE UNLEADED GASOLINES."
