Description of the project: "THE RESEARCH PROJECT FOCUS ON THE INVESTIGATION OF THE ELECTRON TRANSFER PROCESSES THAT TAKE PLACE AT THE ELECTRODE-SOLUTION INTERFACE, MODIFIED BY SELF-ASSEMBLED MONOLAYERS. THE INVESTIGATED MODIFIERS WORK AS ""MOLECULAR WIRES"" OR AS MOLECULAR RECOGNITION SYSTEMS, FOLLOWING THE ELECTRON TRANSFER PROCESSES FROM BIOLOGICAL MEMBRANE. THE ELECTRODE SURFACE ARCHITECTURE IS BUILT DURING A WELL-CHARACTERISED CHEMISORPTION STAGE. ACCORDING TO THE INTERFACE DESIGN, NEW APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE DEVELOPED. "
