Description of the project: "THE PROJECT REALISED THE STUDY OF THE MAIN PHENOMENA, WHICH ARE THE BASIS FOR ORGANIC MATTER REDUCTION IN DRINKING WATER IN ORDER TO OPTIMISE THE TREATMENT PROCESSES. THERE WERE ESTABLISHED OPTIMAL TECHNOLOGICAL SCHEMES FOR TOTAL ORGANIC CARBON REDUCTION THROUGH ENHANCED COAGULATION AS A FUNCTION OF IMPORTANT PARAMETERS OF THE PROCESS: ALKALINITY, TYPE OF THE ORGANIC MATTER, PH, DOSE AND TYPE OF THE COAGULANT. THE BIODEGRADATION POTENTIAL WAS EVALUATED THROUGH THE BDOC METHOD (BIODEGRADABLE ORGANIC CARBON)."
